We've discussed this before here - Obama's plan to offer the Auto industry help with health benefits in return for their finally agreeing to reaise auto emission standards. He gave a great speech in Detroit yesterday, where this idea is controversial - makes me appreciate his courage - would be an easy thing to bring up in California, right? Steve Clemons objects that this plan isn't "comprehensive" enough to save us from the doom of climate change. I say - that's a dumb reason to be against it at this point.
